I thought it lit up when it was on, like silent running, but I haven't paid it much attention... ?? Are you running any mods?

If nothing else, go to the torpedo management screen. If an empty tube has a faded torpedo in it, then auto-loading is turned on.

Click on the "sub management" button. Then, way on the right of the management bar, you'll see a torpedo icon. If it's bright, auto loading is on, dim it's off.
If I have more than one type of torpedo, I usually set it off (It's on by default) |

This is the same way I do it. I follow this basic "policy" in SH3 as well. Keeps me from sending the wrong torpedo type after a ship and ruining the whole setup. Barracuda |
