yep take a look......

Thomsen Water 3.3 and OLCE2....

ok now take away both so now its GWX2.1......

ok now just Thomsen Water 3.3........

And you're not getting the sunhalo effect on OLCE2, howcome? Your sun looks like a golfball... you need to fix that right away, sailor!

I have the same sun problem after installing your mod on top of OLC 1.8. Is there a solution against golfball-suns?
Kind regards

My my, those quotes are sure getting out of hand! Perhaps a few elipses (...) would be nice when quoting a quote of a quote of a very long post?

Anyway... PT, after upgrading to version 3.3 my uboat and all other boats seem to have started rocking quite badly even in calm (4 mps) winds, and the waves now seem huge for the weather. Any ideas what I did wrong? I definitaly removed the old mod first.

hi, PT, the files of your mod completely overwrite OLCE2, so that it does not matter wheather you have OLCE2 installed or not.....i think that is, what the people above wanted to say.......

This may be a stupid question, but does this mod affect the water in all locations or just the Atlantic?
Covers the whole world!

The SH3 engine is funny: there's artic, mediterranean, the all the rest is called "atlantic"...

@A6INTRUDER = Update your version of OLCE2 to 2.4.3 and you should be fine. Also, there's a correction for the golfball sun in OLC's filefront page, in case the update doesn't solve your problem.

@COMMANDER GIZMO = Are you using SH3 Commander? If to, did you change the setting "set wave height" in SH3CO options? What values? Did you enable my mod above all others?

@H.SIE = You are completly wrong there! If there's a mod called X, and I want to make a mod Y that uses the same files X uses, and I want it to be compatible with X, I need to mod the Y mod on top of X mod files, and when you're going to enable the mod, it says that the files have already been changed by the X mod, and you're going to overwrite it, but in fact you're going to replace X files with the same X files, but with a few modifications corresponding to the Y mod. Get it?

I enabled OLCE2 in my computer and modded the changes for my water mod on top of OLCE2 files enabled, so the files are the same, with a few modifications of my own, to create a new mod, which is totally compatible with OLC's work. Even so, JSGME will warn you about files being overwritten, but actually you still have pretty much all OLC work being enabled again, except for a few changes on the files which correspond on my tweaks for the water mod. It's kinda complicated to understand.... but look at the pictures, like Phoenix said.

I'm confused....does that mean it now works with OLCs Uber Mod (OLCE2 and OLC GUI Special) found in this thread: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=134186

I ask cos when I use your water mod with OLCs i get a lot of tiling :-(

If you enable my mod AFTER enabling the LATEST version of OLC's Ubermod, then you should NOT get any tiling. Aparently nobody else is getting the tiling, and I'm not either.

But...

As you well know, appearances can be deceiving, which brings me back to the reason why we're here. We're not here becouse we're free, we're here becouse we are not free. There's no escaping reason, no denying purpose, becouse we both know, without purpose we wouldn't exist!

...

Show me two printscreens. One with your mod installation on JSGME and another one with the game, the tiling, the water and if possible the sun and the sky.

PT, I am using Commander, but have not enabled any options related to the game's water. I tested it without Commander (after rolling back changes) and the result is the same. The only MOD enabled after yours is my own keymapping which only effects the commands_en.cfg file.

I just performed a clean install and will advise if the problem persists.

Just installed the Water mod with OLCU 2.4.3. I noticed that the horizon is a very bright line. This is not the case if I disable the Water mod.
I think in a dark night the horizon should be dark too, but now I can see much better in a dark night because the horizon lights everything up.
I seem to remember that OLC put a great deal of work in darkening the horizon, so that dark nights are pretty dark. Is it possible to do that in the Water mod?

Yeah. Possible, doable, and pretty easy.

I've purposely left the horizon lighter cos it makes a little easier to spot, identify and get the solution for targets, otherwise it's impossible. The nights are just too dark. In real life, the stars and the moon helps brightning the nights, but in SH3 we don't have that option. I left the bright horizon to compensate that flaw.

If three or four people here want a black BLACK night, that can be arranged!

I've increased the moon size from OLCE2.

Well, the size of the moon depends. Which part of the world are you?

I'm in Brazil, near equatorial line, so the moon gets gigantic some times. Much bigger then that one in game. But for those in england, the moon can be pretty small at times. I't complicated.

I'd like to have a much bigger moon, to fit the moon I see everyday. But that Isn't everybody's taste...
