Definitely needs to be more though, I'm sure the first player campaign mods will make use of this as well. Nice work.

I, as well, have been resupplied at sea during Operation Drumbeat .... There also appears to be a minimum radius from the supply ship that allows you to get the position and approval for resupplied.

For example, in the month of April,42 I asked for a resupply when I was south of the Florida Keys ...denied. I moved near Bermuda and asked again and it was approved to a location that was well southeast of Bermuda.

I don't know how many are out there (stock) but more is always welcome as long as it's not the same ship at the same spot ... I'd hate to see 7/11's minimarts all over the Atlantic!

this would make you sweat like a real uboat captain.

is it feasible, or am i dreamin??
No there will be a uboat in the area
Wont be sat still but moving at 5 kts
Tis a pity the game resupplies in the blink of an eye though
I know in SH3 you ended your patrol to use a resupply but you lost a day also - if using SH3commander
Be ideal also if you didnt get a full replen of everything
Age old sticking point that one

There were not "milk cows" - there were not submarines but only standard small tankers or supply merchants. In the early years of the war the III Reich had supply fleet to refit submarines and other German raiders - in fact, after Enigma decryption all these supply ships (located at open see) were found and destroyed.

In my opinion the option "end patrol" should be deleted - these ships (and milk cows in later years of war) allow only refit to uboat in fuel, ammo and food (morale grow?).
End patrol should be available only in German home base.

End patrol IS only allowed at your home port
Refit\resupply is instant at any axis port

But will have to wait for that patch release ( today ) as its bound to have changed the one file I altered

So a day after the patch at the latest

Yep
Sadly
Is on hold at the mo
The earlier resupply ships appear no problem and have been easy to check
After finally making it ingame to mid 1942 the markers for the milkcows are not appearing on the map
Been battling with the problem for a few days now
What makes it worse is having to start a new career each change and TC from 39 to 42 just to check
PITA
Wasnt going to release till after the patch anyway as files will change so the delay worked out good for me
IF I can pin down why they arent showing on the map by then

You don`t have to

Do this

...\Silent Hunter 5\data\Cfg\

UPC.cfg

edit
MinimumDaysInBaseGE=14 -> lets say 700

Start a new career, dock once and start next mission, it will throw you 700 days forward but no idea what port it will be

I tried this just to skip all Total Germany campaign to Happy times campaing and used 291 days (w/o tutorial mission)

Good luck.
