Hey there, I am a new captain from B.C Canada. It looks like I might be one of the younger ones here at the tender age of 24. I have loved simulation games since playing the original MFS on my grandpa's old computer. SH5 is my first subsim and at first I was surprised to see how avid the subsim community is. I discovered this website after realizing I had no idea how to captain a U-boat and SH5 has no real tutorials (learning how to press the "fire" button is .0000000001% of the game). If I had never found this community I would be a very frustrated deaf-mute. I will probably mostly lurk around for good mods but as I get acquainted with the community you can expect to see more posts from me.

Head for Fifi's mod list for SHV and good hunting! ask away on any issues with SHV in forum 5.

Off the top of my head and without checking the membership data I know of at least one member who is fourteen years of age and many more younger than you, so take heart, to some members you may well be considered as an 'oldie'

Hi i'm Terry. Born in London 65 years ago and now live in Doncaster England.
I spent 11 years in the Royal Navy which is probably the reason that I only play naval games, I have played SH3 and am now awaiting delivery of SH5 which will arrive on Thursday or before I hope.
Showing my age I only like music from the 70s and 80s all the old stuff.
Hobbies are Wood turning, Golf and learning how to use this computer.
I hope that not all of my questions will not be stupid or unnecessary
