Umm, yes and no. 'Of some kind', yes.

big hint(s):
It has quite an infamous history.. The man who invented the part shown, and his wife, have been killed by a mythical serpent.. not literally of course

ok.. sorry for being late, but the magazine data have finally been transferred

@Skidman: Not a r... car. More simple, just remove the word "car".

@Aktungbby: WTH is "Jormungund" edit: Manga . Manga?! No.

@JimBuna: not from Orpheus (if you mean the comedy by Jacques Offenbach?), nothing to do with this name. This one is real. The people being killed are also real. The name of this mythical beast has something to do with the killing, but it is far fetched and does not really help here. The name of this man is not as famous as others, who worked on the design.

@Eichhörnchen: Not SF, it is real.

Hint:
As said before its history is mostly 'infamous' and gruesome.

Yes! Finally
But which part? (approximately, not exact name)

Bit of explanation, the scientist who developed this part was killed in an aerial raid on Peenemuende by bombs, during british operation "Hydra" (named by the multi-headed mythical serpent). It was not until this invention that the A4 (Aggregat 4) began to fly as intended.

This norse serpent.. ok now i see .. no, i did not know this. I meant the Hydra..

Yes, Mr. Thiel was the one who invented this mechanism, but "annular ring guidance"? No idea what you mean ..
The mechanism shown is almost the same as used in the Saturn V and now SpaceX rockets, certainly with some changes.

If Buddahaid does not show up here after he (almost) nailed it i'd like at least the name of the part shown, or what's it for
"Annular ring guidance" does not seem to be the right name. What do you mean by this?

The mushroom-shaped injection head was removed from the combustion chamber to a mixing chamber, the combustion chamber was made more spherical while being shortened from 6 to 1 foot in length, and the connection to the nozzle was made cone shaped. The resultant 1.5 ton chamber operated at a combustion pressure of 220 pounds per square inch. Thiel's 1.5 ton chamber was then scaled up to a 4.5 ton motor by arranging three injection heads above the combustion chamber. By 1939, eighteen injection heads in two concentric circles at the head of the 0.12-inch thick sheet-steel chamber, were used to make the 25 ton motor.[11]:52–55[28]
