Vers nice milk riddle! My grandma used to be a milkmaid in Pomerania (one of the big manors) and told me she had to turn the crank on a similar device. She had upper arms like a wrestler.

Hm. The joint tells me there is a lot of pressure on this thing. Water or a combustible gas? I say gas.
