As for your troubles with the free protractor. Yes, those tools do not work if some sliding opject is in the way. But you can place line/protractors roughly and with long enough legs, then position the free protractor on the desired point and then re-orient the legs of the line/protractor in the propper direction. But it is cumber some, I know.
What a coincidence!!
I'll keep my fingers crossed that everything will work fine..

Till then I guess I will keep fiddling around...

Best regards..

Bingo!

I replaced the .tga's of the other 3 'line'-tools (protractor, compass/circle and square/waypoints) with the line.tga image but renamed. And needed to replace the mouse cursor offset X,Y for the square image. Simple stuff really. My initial try was to change the 3 "Name" fields in the mouse.cfg file so it could share the line.tga file among the tools. But SH3 insists on those names or else uses default images.

Oh yeah, before I get into trouble: These files and all artistic rights belong to OLC Gui 1.2.6 or what/who/wherever he got them from.

Download this JSGME minimod from here

Once I figure out how to mess with layers and stuff in GIMP(so far been postponning/avoiding that) I intend to add N, NNE,ENE,E, etc. markings and their borders in between. Those angles are tough to find among all those tiny degrees.

Yes it's possible, but the solution depends on what sub you are using at the moment. Just copy the folder corresponding to the sub you are using at the moment into the game files and you are ok. You could also manually create JSGME mods of them all for simplicity. Easiest way is to use SH3 commander though.

When you ID a ship, that white dot becomes the ship name.

Thanks for your answer!

Just thinking that might be some optic feature I don't know before. So I ask first before try some attempt to get rid of it.

That's a bad programmer behavior. I guess he use a "." to clean output string when he want display nothing. If let me program I 'll try use null sting first and if that does not work I wil try use a space " ".

I have do some adjustment to OLC GUI 1.2.6 . I add a additional AOB display in attack periscope interface for I need review it before fire, a invisible glass before torpedo launch button to prevent you push it while TDC solution panel on for safety.

I wonder can I enlarge the attack periscope to a near observe periscope size. For we can not get enough distinguish ability compare to real u-boat, I guess at least 3 times bad in game than in real. But that need too much works, I even don't know how to make a popup panel.

May be I can add a more big zoom factor for easy to identify ship belong to which country. So I don't need run too close before attack. I don't know does that idea can work or not? But I guess other player will not like 3 zoom factors.

Default Issue in Nav Map

Hello All,

I've been playing SH3 with GWX and OLC GUI for nearly a year now, and I've just noticed a minor issue with the navigation map. I no longer see the labels of things like the Skaggerak and Rockall Banks that show up at the intermediate zoom level. I still see the big things like ports, cities, and the big oceans' names. Has anyone else seen this and/or is there anything I can do about it? I did try reinstalling everything which didn't help. Is this something that is by design with GWX? I'm asking the same question over in the GWX thread as well. Okay, thanks.

Adam

Possible yes but I'm too lazy to do it because I personally wouldn't use it.

Hi again OLC. I just have a simple question: Can I use this version of GUI on top of OLCE? Just because I don't like the fact that you can't zoom your scope with OLC ubermod.

Yes you can.
It's all explained in the documentation included in the Ubermod download.

Hi. Just read the last pages that I missed in th recent months. I noticed that privateer posted a fix for the outragously high mast value -- but the URL doesnt work anymore. Or has this been implemented elsewhere now?
