Default Problem with Wolves of Steel

Hey,

So I disabled all my mods, and installed just Wolves of Steel without 2.12 real navigation. Every time the I load the campaign, I get this pop up about checking the advanced campaign or something, and after getting 2 hours into my campaign, it now fails to do whatever it is it needs to do, and tells me to quit and reload the save game; however every time I reload I get the same thing.

How do you fix this?

Why is this even a thing? What happens if I ignore it?

remove this mod "TWoS Campaign Advance Verifier Testing"

Why remove it ? does it not make sure things are working for progression to next chapter ?

I ask this because I am at Sea and Got moved to Happy times..took my right into the Bunker..But as it was loading it said Campaign Problem detected....
should I be worried ?

Another problem I'm having is my Sonarman refuses to keep
following a target, or even hearing a target which is clearly present
on the Sonar. He's at 56% training, and to be honest he's completely
useless. I can't rely on him at all to plot an attack.

Is this normal or is there a way to fix him?

Enemy escorts in this are brutal btw.

Yes you should be worried when using mods you don't know about.
Its' a testing tool, you should not use it during your normal play. So deactivate it in JSGME (and forget about). Also because you have used that tool I advice you to remove all draggable files in your game dir, then load and save your last savegame in order to 'purge' your save from the testing tool (this may not work anyway). In future, don't mess with mods you don't know.


During play, follow red message instructions when they pop-up at the end of your campaign chapter.

I’m sorry... are you saying do not use campaign advance tester mod? I use it every time I play. When do we use this mod?

Deinstall it and forget about. If you are not able to advance your campaign, report here again...but you will not.

Ok, I will try to be clear.
I know you don't have to use that tool because:


1)
TWoS has managed to make the campaign to advance in all possible SH5 game versions, being from Steam, U-Play, DVD, hacked etc.

2)
I'm currently updating my personal modlist with custom 'campaign advance' radio messages to tell the player what to do. So does TWoS. Here is an extract of WoS message, followed by my modded message for my modlist.

TWOS:


Transfer Orders - HIGHEST PRIORITY:||Continue intensive operations against allied shipping in areas of your choice until the end of May. Do not return to port! Refit in Heliogolend or Bergen only if necessary.|After that, head for your home base but do not attempt to dock until 7th June 1940.|If automatic campaign/flotilla transfer is not initiated until then, save your progress and consult TWoS documentation for alternative campaign progression method. Further orders will follow.|BdU


MY MODLIST:

You see the difference? When playing my modlist with Tonnage bar , you need to advance campaign manually. When playing with TWoS instead, you don't need to do anything but just follow instructions above.


Once you understand that, you don't need any testing tool, you mod the game accordingly, or you just play TWoS without testing tool
I guess the testing tool is there for Veko, the WoS modmaker, to troubleshoot players by asking them to use the tool in special conditions so he can know for sure what's wrong. This is, how you say in English, Auld Lang Syne ?

You can freely use the tool, of course...Just read it's description carefully. The tool is not perfect and occasional false positive warnings are possible...
