I've seen the result. It's not pretty. It's common with split rims. I don't where this was. In the US, garages use cages to put the tire/rim assembly in before inflating.

Which is why I always double and triple check EVERYTHING anytime I'm doing automotive work!

I don't have time for tires, or engines, to go flying across the room.
