I'm amazed that this game has not seen (yet) the recognition it deserves. Of course, it hasn't shipped yet - but it is not invisible.
It is the first Kickstarter game to be fully funded in 45 minutes! It went on to meet ALL of its stretch goals - funded to over 600,000 British pounds. It is a 1-4 player board game with an app to provide missions, visuals from the periscope and binoculars, random events, signals, and guidance. There is role-play as captain, first officer, navigator, and chief engineer. Each role controls 8 crew in two watches. It will be available in December according to the producers (Playway) It is really worth a look: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...me/description ![]()

I've been following it on and off, looks really good.
Wonder if a port to Tabletop Simulator will be made. |

The whole idea of an app driven board game is interesting. We have a "haunted house" type board game that uses an app. Works out well.

Hi there!
I'm glad you like the idea behind the game ![]() https://uboot-the-board-game.backerk...vvPpIs#updates We hope this game will appeal to subsim fans, as it is a completely new take on the subject, albeit with some traditional subsim components. I guess it is safe to say that it is the first board game ever to deliver a near-Das Boot experience on the tabletop. It is not meant to rival Silent Hunter - that is nigh impossible for a board game, but because gameplay is so co-op oriented and it actually requires a lot of knowledge and skill to play, then I guess this has a chance of bringing subsim fans together at the table. I mean, why play alone if you can do so with your friends? ![]() |
