Default Screen resolution and full screen

I changed my GC (a Nvidia GeForce GTX 750 with 2 GB), and I´m having a problem with the resolution fix and the full screen in resolution 1360x768.

My monitor by default is setted to 1920x1080. It is the resolution I play SH4 and SH5.

But with SH3, using MaGUI WS, changing the values of resolution in the d3d9.cfg to 1360x768, I obtain a displayed image for the game with a black surface all around the image of the game. I didn´t have this problem with my previous GC (also a Nvidia); the resolution changed automatically to 1360x768. With the new GC, I have the game image at 1360x768 centered in a surface of 1920x1080, with black borders all around.

What´s the problem? I think in some setting in the GC, but I can´t discover it.

I want 1360x768 occuping all the screen (as it was my SH3 with my old GC), because I´m preparing SH3 for the new MaGUI HAHD; it will support 1360x768 max.

Some help will be very welcomed.

All the best to all.

If I've read correctly MaGUI HAHD will have 1680x1050 resolution as native (16:10).

There will be others resolutions as 1360 x768. Not 1920x1080 as I use with Anhenerbe GUI.

it will be released at three resolutions : 1024x768 , 1360x768 and 1680x1050

Had the same problem. I have AMD and scalled all games to full screen still black bars were displayed (I do not know how scaling works in Nvidia or that it exists)

I solved it by using another version of the d3d9 dll

Hi mates,

might have a workaround for this issue.

My PC is equipped with two 24" TFT monitors and I want to have the second screen in its original size, whereas the first one should be switch to 1360*768 when playing SH3.

I found a tool, "DisplayChanger2", which does exactly what I want
See the examples and switches how to use.

Interesting. Could you post a configuration to run SH3 with SH3 Commander start, in 1360x768? I have 1920x1080 native, but I want to run SH3 in 1360x768 and with my GTX 750 (Nvidia) ever I have those black spaces all around!!!

Reading the instructions for this 12noon program, and it is too much for me...

All the best and many thanks.

I started to use a program called Ultramon. Lets you create shortcuts amongst other things. You can then set the shortcut to change res before launching SH3, it will then change it back to your default desktop resolution when you exit.

Hi Fitzcarraldo,

I can not post or send you my config because it depends on the GC and the monitor('s).

Download dc2.zip and unzip to a folder "close" to your SH3-installation.
Use dc2.exe or dc2x86.exe depending on your windows version (64/32 bit).
Then do the following steps:
- your monitor is set to 1360x768
- create a desktop-link for your dc2.exe, open its properties and change its address to D:\Spiele\UbisoftLiving\dc2.exe -create=1360x768.xml
- change your resolution to 1920x768 (windows)
- edit the link address to D:\Spiele\UbisoftLiving\dc2.exe -configure=1360x768.xml D:\Spiele\UbisoftLiving\_LSH3_v15\sh3.exe
This link could now be used to start this SH3-installation with the desired resolution.

"D:\Spiele\UbisoftLiving\" is the path where my dc2.exe is located
"D:\Spiele\UbisoftLiving\_LSH3_v15\" is the path of my SH3-installation

Regards
Blueduck
