Just did a test run. Holy crap, OH IV is a huge memory drain. Took my computer ages to boot up the game with it. Looks like that's staying on the sideline.

When you start a new stock campaign in SH5 - there are a lot of large files written to your Doc/SH5. This causes the first run with a new campaign to take a long while to load.
Loading saved games there after are a lot faster.

Yes - OHII adds a lot of information to that first run. Loading saved games (like the stock version) are faster but still a lot longer than stock.

If you are using antilag - im sure I read somewhere that it also affects load times

Hi all

Carried out a reinstall and everything sems to be ok, have not had a lot of time to mess with everything though.

Some really great mods, i must say thanks to you all for your help. One small thing though, i have German voices (which i like), and German text when i click on a crewman. Is there any way to change the text to english? all the reports are in english, its just when i select a crewman to interact with i get german text.

Hi modders,

I've been adding mods too, after having read significant amounts of info on several threads here. It all seems to work fine and i'm happy with it. I'd like to get the most out of it both graphical and audio wise, next to realism and authenticity.
Is there anything you'd like to recommend, looking at my list? Before i start a campaign, i'd like to have it all set satisfactorily.

Now all I have to do is wait about 6-12 hours and I can finish with another 5 downloads from SUBSIM. Takes a lot to get a good build. All are not campaign restart, so I'm going ahead and sorting out my mod soup.

Patched to v.0.0.3 with 'TDW sh5 patcher'

Combination of mods pasted in red colour gives the awsome 'living' harbours with added,reworked and colored ships, mooving trucks, cranes and traines, etc.

NOTE
1. Not compatible with MO (however, with all this mods MO is not needed at all because most of them overwrites it) , Cerberus ship mod
2. Doesn't run with TDW Sub_Exaust mod though there's no conflict spotted via JSGME with any of the mods in the list. I've tried dozens of variants where to position it, but hte result was the same - CTD when starting new campaign (historical test mission for sub-exaust mod runs OK)
3.Loading time is very continuous
BUT ALL THIS ITEMS ARE NOTHING in comparrison with what we have as a result

Hi, some suggestions;
ImprovedWaves_Improved Pitch&Roll => loose this and go for Stoianm's pitch & roll (normal)
MCCD_1.04 => add this one, enable before MCCD_1.04_MFCM_1.2.1_compatible
Uboat_Snorkel_1_1_0_by_TheDarkWraith
Uboat_Snorkel_1_1_0_No_Exhaust_Smoke_TheDarkWraith => add this one
AilRain 1.0 => if you want this effect - enable after OHII


I suggest you also try these;
Stormy's SDBSM adds German speech
d3d Antilag for smooth gameplay (better FPS). Read the 'Readme.txt' file, don't enable with JSGME

I have antilag running, weird though in a way, using crossfied 4890's (til santa's been lol) with xfire on i lose fps with antilag, but if i wedge the app key down i get more fps lol

I did change the render-ahead to 1 though, this gives me better fps with my cc and actual game settings (kinda weird for me as i say, but hey ho, more fps = more fun)

Will try chopping mods as you suggest

TDW's Uboat Snorkel is now included in NewUIs_TDC (since version 6.7.0).

And as Slient Steel mentioned in the OHII thread, for patches like TheDarkWraith_DC_Water_Disturbances_v2_0_SH5 and the Iceberb mod, you have to include them after OHII (which means I have to fix my mod order).
