Hi all. Atmoshpere in subs anyone?
Hey subsim people,
I'm joining you today to tell you that I used your screenshots skills (W_Clean shot/mod) to portray the issues facing realism/atmosphere in games. After some years hanging around as a reader, it's good to post once. http://www.morefromgames.com/blogposts/imagination.html Note that it won't do the community much publicity as I'm launching the blog today. On my way to make it famous, starting here Hope you like it. |

Cheers and welcome!
You make a great point about the demand for realism vs. imagination - I think you are totally spot on there, we HAVE got a lot more demanding on our games, but I suppose that is inevitable. Conversely though, if you look at games where the realism detail (or more accurately, mechanical detail) is substantially higher, you'll see players clamouring for better graphics. So I guess there's no easy way out - as long as the tech advances, we will want more and more from our games. Still, impressive how far we've come. |
