YUV Component cable

I am about to upgrade my old CRT TV for a Samsung 50" widescreen TV, at the moment I only have a DVD player, Blu-Ray will have to wait!
I have been told that standard RCA cables for the Component/Progressive Scan video is no good it has to be special high quality ones, I have done some searching but don't find much on the subject and sellers down here want around $50 for the set of 3, a little pricey! I can get them online for $18 but will take 2 weeks to get here! so as a temporary measure I thought I would just use 75 ohm coax, I have plenty of solder type RCA jacks here, would this be sufficient?

Yes the cable is straight RCA to RCA as in the link, even that price is too expensive considering the wires are only 75cm in length, not long enough, I have plenty of good quality 75 ohm coax here, just didn't want to cut it up if it was a "no goer"!

OK! How will you act now, there is no way to get home components within "reasonable time"

This was a miracle, I went into one of our stores here (Big W of all places) and found a set of RGB 75 ohm gold connections, RCA to RCA 1.5mts for $15, needless to say I grabbed them!! TV is installed WOW!! what a difference, now I just have to get a Blu-Ray player!!
