I can second these motions as well. I nominated Peter / TheBerbster for most helpful member last year and he won. I'm sure there are others like Peter but he soldiers on, helping everyone he can.


Eichhornchen likewise keeps things going in the forums with his good nature and funny posts. whether it's his witty posts or " whack a squirrel " series, Eichhornchen always adds that " Fun Factor " that in turn makes the Subsim Forums a fun place to visit.


With regards to the modder of the year, there are so many here that add modifications that they have worked on that add to the enjoyment of our simulations. VDR is another one of those modders.

Peter might not be the only one who helps, but no one else does it with as much visual aid, thoroughness, thoughtfulness, expertise, care, compassion... wait! too many adverbs!... and across all three main games! He's my hero! Just plain "THEBEST" THEBERBSTER!!!

I don't do SH5 very often, but I do see his mod as the only way for me to do SH5. But I still lean toward CapnScurvy, since I'm mainly an SH4 guy. But, it's really great to see new mods and continuing updates for others, across all three of the Silent Hunter games... Maybe we need a "Modder of the Year" for each of the three games, and an "Overall 'Champeen' MOTY" - an OCMOTY (I do so love acronyms)...
