This is a cross post from the Steam forum here: http://steamcommunity.com/app/541210/discussions/0/1519260397792899024/

Anybody have any ideas as to new textures/images for medals? Trying to get a Presidential Unit Citation (and perhaps a Navy Unit and Meritorious Unit) image in game and all that comes up is a white box. Tried replacing the Bronze Star Medal image and nothing happened.:hmmm:

I noticed that I get the same seven, which I assume is the max. Nice if duplicates were available or that I at least get a "been there, done that" one for the beach landing hoard for 2nd or 3rd time.

The awards system is set up in unlockable levels I guess is the best way to describe it. The first tier is patrol awards consisting of the Bronze Star Medal, Silver Star, Navy Cross, and Medal of Honor. Those get awarded for tonnage sunk during a single patrol, that is before returning to base to rearm and repair. The next tier is career awards consisting of the Navy Commendation, Legion of Merit, and Distinguished Service medals. Those are awarded for tonnage during the campaign and missions passed. Then of course there's the Purple Heart, which I assume you may get if your boat goes down and you get rescued or if you don't.

The multiple awards reminded me of SH1 where you would actually receive the smaller bronze star device in lieu of another medal. That was pretty cool back then I thought.

I received an Army Commendation Medal for sinking ships...But, then again, maybe they know who is making a real difference.
