I recall reading a tale from our local AWRE at Orford Ness where they practiced bombing runs with the Valiant, they loaded a dummy nuke into her and sent her off from I think it was RAF Woodbridge. She got to the target but the bomb wouldn't release, so they RTB'd and when they opened up the bomb bay back on the tarmac, the damn thing promptly fell out!
