But, back to covid 19. I live 15 miles north of Orlando Fla. And our diversity is what will cause people to die. These people have their own belief's and culture. What am i talking about. They will not stay home. In my part of this world Blacks and Hispanics and young white's that have no "culture" any more will not Stay at home. . What ever, they never have to abide by any rules. So is there a American Politician or any Politician on here that can enlighten us . I don't think there is.

North-east England gets a Nightingale hospital

After weeks of speculation, NHS England will today confirm the opening of a new Nightingale hospital to treat Covid-19 patients from across the north-east of England.

Work has been under way to transform a building at the Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Advanced Manufacturing near the Nissan car plant in Sunderland. The project has been managed by the Newcastle Hospitals health trust.

I understand up to 500 beds will be on the site for a range of patients suffering from coronavirus, including those on ventilators who need the highest level of critical care.

The north-east of England has been behind London when it comes to the spread of the virus, but health experts have warned this week that the region is on the “edge of the pandemic” and hospitals are rapidly starting to see more patients - and more deaths.

The South Tyneside and Sunderland health trust alone has now reported more than 100 deaths.

A very good article. One very important part of the challenge of fighting viruses is the speed with which many of the strains mutate; AIDS strains were/are a big problem since they tended to mutate very quickly, leaving the medical researchers to constantly be playing 'catch up' with their treatment offerings; from what I've read/heard, Covid-19 is not very quick to mutate, so maybe some sort of vaccine 'cocktail' similar to current flu vaccines can be found; one thing is for certain: Covid-19 is not just going to abruptly end. As long as there are persons who carry the virus untreated or who are asymptomatic, the virus will continue to exist and will be back, maybe in a stronger, mutated form, and there is no immediate magic cure or '"game changer" remedy to stop the virus from coming back; in this, and this only, is Covid-19 anything like the flu...

The first image is a still from a video on BBC World front page right now.

The second two shots are random photos from news coverage on the situation at NY hospitals. I rate them as believable because we have had videos of long trucklines at NY hospitals who parked their cooling trailers nearby hospitals on our daily German news main programs over here, since days.

There is also video footage shpowing bodybags beign carried out of NY hospitals and loaded onto trailers by forklifters.

The morgues are full.
