Default Because no human have been there.

Found this interesting article in Ifl.com

Quote:
Presenting their work in a Keynote Lecture at the Goldschmidt Geochemistry Congress in Barcelona, Dr Stephanie Olson of the University of Chicago explains how their team modeled likely conditions on different types of exoplanets using NASA-developed computer software to simulate the habitats that could theoretically exist on exoplanets.

When no human has been there, in person or in sensors, then no "research" can have been done - only abstract extrapolation and speculation on grounds of researched things from planet Earth.
No object of examination in reach of your examination tools and methods - no research on it being done.

As mentioned in some of the quote I copied from the article

"modeled likely conditions on different types of exoplanets "

Let presume they got it right there are planets with a massive wildlife and vegetation - like our own world in the prehistoric era.

And with my little knowledge about our destructive behavior I have no doubt that we would ending up with having killed 50-60 % of this exoplanets wildlife and it's vegetation if we ever created a colony on that planet.

The last thing is only imagination(about the colony)

That's why my title is - Because no human have been there.

In Hadley's Hope a meager 60% still proved to be not sufficient...

Means nothing as we are never going to get off this rock. Our own actions have sealed our fate. But hey the world of dreams.......

Don't worry, if global warming gets too bad we would enact a global cooling to balance it out.

Which is why we are keeping those nuclear weapons.

Precisely, pure speculation, nothing more
