Thanks for the good thoughts mate.

The partnership that you and JCWolf have developed is good to see as well. I'd say that you guys are a pretty big "blip on the radar."
Good stuff there.

Thanks for the answer, I read the word from Kpt. Lehmann in the manual and thought that out of an initial rejection becomes GWX amazing how humble the origins of everything starts.

Two weeks ago I asked the question: What thread has over 186000 views (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=120730)
The answer was to be GWX in two months. I was wrong; it took only two weeks.
The real interest in the project makes the work worthwhile.

quick newb thing:

If you didnt realize it before, you need the .exe and not the update if you have not used any grey wolves version before this one.

That doesn't make any sense mate.

For an up-to-date installation of GWX you need:

1) The GWX 1.0 .exe file and five .bin files. (Total of six files to DL)

OR the big single .exe file version of GWX version 1.0 available from Gameshadow or KptLt. Siegmann's webspace.

2) After the above is installed, you need to DL and install the GWX version 1.03 update .exe file. (Approx 82 mb)

Then you are done unless you want to use SH3 Commander and/or other mods on top (at your own risk for the latter.)

@Spruence M

Read the texts you left over on TS this morning. I'm afraid you weren't specific enough for me to understand what "the answer to my theory" meant. :hmm:
If you were referring to game installation problems, you should follow Kpt. Lehmann's advice
I set out a step by step guide below to assist you further

1.Uninstall SH3 via Windows' "Add/Remove programs"
2. Open Windows Explorer and:
- *delete* the folder where you had installed SH3
- *delete* the \My Documents\SH3 folder
3. Reinstall SH3
4. If your SH3 did not come with patch v1.4b already included, install patch v1.4b. Ensure you install the patch that corresponds to your copy of SH3 (Download/DVD/EMEA/US)
5. OPTIONAL: Copy and paste this "clean" install as a backup to avoid the need to follow steps 1-3 if your game becomes corrupt in future
6. Download theGWX.exe and the five .bin files. While there grab the v1.03 patch
7. Run GWX.exe and follow the installation prompts
8. Run GWX103.exe and follow the installation prompts
9. SH3 COMMANDER USERS: Download SH3Commander and download the GWX 1.02+ Cfg files for SH3 Commander and unzip the contents DIRECTLY into your SH3 Commander\Cfg folder.

Hi everbody. I just want to say that GWX is the best supermod I've ever seen. I've played stock SH3 for some time now, but I've just installed GWX and I really think it rocks!

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this question, but I was wondering what is the difference between VIIC, VIIC/41 and VIIC/42 type boats in the game? To me it looks like their specs are precisely the same.

If I remember correctly (I'm at work right now and can't check it) they are the same. Unfortunatelly they were not modelled correctly from Ubi

I don't recall correctly, but ... one of them does not have a deck gun:hmm: VIIC/42 perhaps.
