Quote:
[NFA] Underwater footage from the Polish navy reveals an enormous task facing divers, who are attempting to defuse the largest unexploded World War Two bomb ever found in the country. It's called a "Tallboy." Joe Davies reports.

True! However, thinks that this operation should be given credit,https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Source certainly includes other German ship, but should be mentioned in any case. "Tallboy"
stood for the stroke of mercy.

Exploded ... something went "wrong" or intentionally.

Weird! No
sooner do I casually mention an obscure thing: person, place, event etc. than it becomes a real news matter??! Freaks out my wife with whom, while watching an old 12 O'clock high TV episode Sunday night, I had discussed the Tallboy attacks from Lancasters vs puny B-17 loads, later prompting my comment in Who What Where thread...
Henty-Creer of X5 was not decorated,(like the other minisub commanders in the Tirpitz attack) but was ''mentioned in dispatches'' is appalling! https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped...War_A19637.jpg

A positive sidenote must be the bomb was under 12 meters of water-which must have increased the damage the bomb may have created if it was on land.
