Here's a chick who does play guitar and definitely isn't on speed. This might be interesting for some of the fellow guitarist on the forum; Marissa Paternoster is the leader of and guitarist for the Screaming Females. She is an impressive guitarist and has a wicked, dry sense of humor; she is somewhat awkward in interviews, but she gives a rundown of her rig in this clip:

More chicks with guitars...

These ladies don't have guitars and don't really need them. I've been meaning to post this for a while, ever since I heard earlier this year about the passing of Maggie Roche, who died in January of 2017. I hadn't been aware of the news until I received an email from a local guitar store/performance venue, McCabe's, announcing a sort of tribute to The Roche's and Maggie in particular. The Roches are a trio of sisters who gained first notice as backing singers for various acts, most notably Paul Simon, in the early-mid 70s. They were signed to a contract and had their first album produced by Robert Fripp of King Crimson and Bowie fame. The Roches had a fairly long career, earning critical praise, admiration of peers, and a strong fan following for their beautiful and often humorous performances. They are best known by most for their performance of a classical music composition, sung impressively, and majestically, acapella; and, you know, you don't really miss the orchestra...:

Maggie is the young lady in the black dress; she passed away at age 66 after a long battle with cancer...

One more angelic voice was added to the firmament...
