HOW TO: Assign a Dynamic Group to a Dynamic Location...?
Well, title asks it all.
I'm a bit confused on how to do that, actually. Or is it even possible...? When creating dynamic locations, you're given a list of individual objects to assign to the dynamic location. Now, I've already created several formations of dynamic groups before creating the dynamic location, and I want to assign the formations to the locations, but I'm still only given individual objects in the dynamic location queue. Can someone help out with this, please? Thanks! |

Dynamic locations won't work that way. It'll just spawn the assigned platforms to one of the locations eligible, splitting the formation up.
To have variable starting positions for formations, use dynamics groups instead, nesting each possible formation spawn as a separate group inside a master group.

I'll try that.
And thanks for countering my double post logic, rendering the other post in the mods forum redundant. |
