Default Dear Onkle Neal

Hello. How are you. I am fine. I wanted to write you about something called a Silent Hunter III Community Manual. Is this something that could be put onto disk ?
Thank you for my Almanac. And the new Bonus Disk. And all the fish. Frisky loved it. The fish, not the disk. The Mods for SHIV look impressive. Could the Official patches be put on the Disk, too ?
I also remember you reading that you set your rickety old bones in front of a camera and did a video series of shoot-the-torpedo-hit-the-ship. That would be something else to put on the Bonus Disk. Or how about a Technical Disk, compiling ALL the instruction essays, how-to videos, Community Manuals, and all the Tool Mods and their how-tos ? Just a thought.
Well I know you're busy, so I'll let you get back to what you were doing. Something Technical, no doubt. Remember to keep the fan running this summer, and ask the neighbors to check in on you now and then. It wouldn't hurt. And take your medicine.
All the best.

A subsim CD shipping lots of tutorials and such would be nice of course , but the proper place for such a request is the "Comments to SSR" forum, so I'll move this thread there if you don't mind

Speaking for the Community Manual only

If I may; SilentHunterIII Community Manual:General disclaimer

The Community manual is designed to be interactive, browser friendly even on dial-up.
Anyone can print out pages, make bookmarkes-favorite references, contribute etc. Although certain pages are 'protected' from community edits in general the information could change, be updated - edited at anytime.
Even if it was possible to extract the information from the SQL database tables in such a way to make it presentable on disk said information could be rendered outdated by updated or edited information - presentations from the community. After all it is a wiki not a dictionary or hard copy manual. It would therefore be a futile effort to attempt such a task.
As the host, mysh3.info will make sincere efforts to maintain, back-up and present the SilentHunterIII community manual as a community effort, internet accesable interactive site.
