Christmas celebration
I stay home and celebrate Christmas by myself.
My little sister and my niece will take a PCR test today or tomorrow, before visiting and celebrate Christmas with our Mom. If one or both are positive-our Mom has to celebrate Christmas by herself . My Elder sister and her boyfriend will celebrate Christmas together.

I dont know how you tick, Markus, but in case you find isolation depressing - keep the head up!

Myself, I lived quite isolated already before, I am just like that. Corona did not really change much for me and my way of living. My parents and me plan to meet on 24th, for Raclette. They too live quite withdrawn.

Heck, not everybody feels like wanting to rock all the world all day long.

You know Markus I keep seeing similar claims but never see with any numbers to back them up, or the survivors are mixed in with the merely vaccinated clouding how many recorded cases there are of each.

To me that says survivor reinfections are either non-existent or so rare that the numbers are lower than the vaccine side effect rates which I understand is itself underreported by at least a factor of five according to what I read.

Here they tell us how many that have been reinfected. They don't tell how many of these has been vaccinated.
Number of infected 13386 Where 531 is reinfection.

A low number reinfection.

Same for me, Skybird. The virus has not changed much of anything for me or my wife. I have spent a better part of a year in isolation(not much interaction with others) and had no issue with it. In fact, I got many things accomplished. Learned to keep my self busy. So, asking me to shelter in place is a non-issue. The older I get the less I want to be part of the rat race.

Exactly. How many of the 531 were just vaccinated and how many were getting their second bout of covid we don't know. I'm betting the latter group are few and far between compared to the former group using those faulty vaccines.

The Danish word Færdigvaccineret = fully vaccinated seems to be gone.

When the vaccine was developed we only needed one shot-oh how wrongfully could the scientist be-now we need a fourth jab.

There will be no new Covid rules in England announced before Christmas.

"People should enjoy their Christmases with their families and their friends - of course, remain cautious," says Health Secretary Sajid Javid.

It does not mean there won't be any new rules for after 25 December - but if there are, they won't be announced today or tomorrow.

Boris Johnson had already said people could go ahead with their Christmas plans.

Scotland has tightened restrictions further - nightclubs will close for three weeks from 27 December.

Two Premier League games have been postponed on 26 December.

NHS England staff off work because of Covid increases by 54% in a week.

The UK reported 106,122 new Covid cases on Wednesday - exceeding 100,000 for the first time.
