Did SH2 run with an ATI Radeon 4530?

Hi mates!

I have changed my GPU from ATI4850 to NVIDIA GTS250 but before (with ATI) I can ran SH2 without trouble and now (with NVIDIA) I can't run it!

In another tread was writed that NVIDIA drivers isn't compatible with the game and even my netpc have an NVIDIA card (a ION) and the game don't run!!!!

I'm thinking to change those netpc (a PB iMaxMini C2505) to an EEE BOX EB1006 ( http://www.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=8FovQGl5VpP1pjTv ) but before make another error can someone that have those GPU (an ATI 4530) tell me if the game run with this one?

well your card the GeForce GTS 250 has more than the spec to play sh2. You have to remember that back in the day sh2 would run on an old 32mb onboard card. Reads to me its your pc. What is the specs for your pc how much ram, prcessor speed, etc? If you have a new bangin system sh2 might be getting confused. The game was being coded in 99 to run on 98 and windows 2000. You may want to try to run it in windows 98 compatiabilty mode or maybe windows 2000 mode. if you don't know how to do that just right click on the sh2.exe file and go down to properties and you will find the compatiabilty mode in there.

Yes running it with a more powerful GPU should be easy...but I have tried to run it even in 95/98 compatibility without success!!!

The game start , load the screen but it haven't all the link showed but the single mission!
If I manage by 'memory' at run the other link they work with strange graphical lines and issue!
If I run a mission she crash to the black screen!

Update the bios , chipset and driver haven't solved the trouble!

I really need to know if someone have in his laptop an HD4530 and if she run the game to decide for change my net pc with the other one without waste my little money resource invain!!

Walter, I can tell you that I have been unable to run SHII on older Nvidia cards, but that it runs well on an old ATI X800GTO. Whether newer builds of the ATI world have changed the functionality or not, someone else will have to report.

My previous GPU was an ATI HD4850 and SH2 & DC were running perfectly!

I think that the 4530 can run them quite well , I'm asking only for insurance!

I've just installed SH2 for the sake of testint it. Runs fine as long as the game is patched to 1.1 (I'm using a ATI Radeon HD3470 Mobility).

I think that the 4530 can run SH2 & Dc quite well!

I have purchased the new one just this morning!!

I hope to have it before Christmas and test it!!!
