"7 Faces of Dr Lao".

A remarkable movie. One to be treasured and watched again and again. A personal favourite of Sailor Steve, vienna, and myself.

Tony Randall should've gotten a whole truckload of Oscars for his multi roles in this beautiful movie....but life's not fair.

Agreed, the studio really dug deep to make what could best be called an "oddities" movie. I'm pretty certain they called in George Pal to create the Loch Ness Monster scene. Defiantly worth seeing, at least once. Also, one of Barbara Eden's early efforts.

I've been studying SAC since the days when I grew up near Loring AFB. They had a very different work culture compared to the rest of the Air Force.
By the 1950's, SAC had its own office inside the US Congress. They lobbied for more funding constantly and were always ready to twist some arms when it was needed. If the Air Force as a whole got more funding, that was just a by-product.

Foreign Devils and their Black Ships bring much Heartache for poor Cho Cho San.

Something you don't see everyday.....a Silent Movie Opera.

"Madam Butterfly" 1915, with Mary Pickford in the lead role. No sound or music.

A tad over an hour long...well worth a look....a bit different from the stage productions

In the latest couple of days I have been thinking on this sci-fi movies.

I can't remember the title.

Earth is at war with some aliens and they use human as bombs. During the film you follow some special police force and a man who try to convince them that he is innocent...Until the end of the movie where they find his body on a crash-site..next you see an explosion.

Might have a shot at trying to find the title. Know some folks who are pretty good at this and enjoy it.

Any other details or specifics you recall? The nationality/language, year or decade it was made roughly, colour or black & white, names of any actors, other incidents, costumes, models, CGI etc. It doesn't matter especially but anything helps.

The movie is most likely a Hollywood production and I'm 99% sure the movie if from this side of 2000.

These human bombs doesn't know they are walking bombs they are substitut -It's up to this special unit in Earth policeforce to hunt them down and eliminate them. However this man who is playing the leading role is as mentioned before convince he's innocent and he try to both escape these special forces.

If I could describe the last two minutes of this sci-fi movies in words-The face he makes when he sees himself sitting in this spaceship who has crashed. First they discover his wife and everything seems to be ok until one of these police man finds another "door" and they open it and there he sits dead..Then the camera turn to the leader of this police force and then to this man...his face turns into-Hard to describe and the next you see from the distance a huge explosion where they
are.

The title of the movie is Impostor from 2001 and Gary Sinise play the role of this man who is convince he is innocent.

Behold! I have searched the bowels of YouTube and have found nothing less than a..... BOAT MOVIE!!



A true Boat Movie is not necessarily a good movie, anyone can watch one of those.. While this example does not possess the sought after NC-17 or even a "hard R" rating, it does have a certain something to it. Besides, it was the best the Navy could get its hands on at the time we sailed.

Meanwhile, we're about 1/3 of the way through an extended patrol. We've just secured from a 2 hour "mini field day" to keep the COB and the XO happy and we're mostly caught up on our long term quals and division paperwork. Its time to kick back and enjoy something mindless for an hour and a half.

So, nuke a bag of popcorn in the microwave and fill a coffee mug with ice and artificially sweetened tropical punch (aka: "Red") and get ready to memorize Harvey Keitel's lines.
