SHO project LODKA


Hi, guys.
I want to show you the work. I understand that a level of quality low, but all the same I want communication.
Name: Project LODKA.
Current version 0.0.1
Genre: Arcade with simulator elements.
Short description.
Game is devoted to a heroic feat of the Russian submariners – Baltic Fleet sailors.
The player will participate in the companies on the Baltic Sea. The main hero of game – the Soviet submarine of a series M-XII.
Game has a historical bias. In game there are fictional missions, and the tasks based on real historic facts. The boat is a generalized character, without having an obvious uniform prototype.
GamePlay
The player – the hunter. But the hunter can fall prey. The main requirement – to keep silence. If much to rustle – it is possible to be dead quickly.
For realization of this truth, in game there are a lot of parameters which form a sound background of the boat. Almost any action of the player – a source of additional noise. Even lifting of a periscope creates additional noise which the enemy can hear.
For this reason many parameters are operated. The player can control noise level on sensors, at the same time including or switching off devices. I tried to take noisiness level from real sources. For example, the device the Gyrocompass in reality a strong source of noise, in game the same. For silence preservation, the gyrocompass can be switched off, but then the map will be empty, and the compass won't work. And without compass and the maps in game it is very difficult to be guided.

One more important element is the crew. Each sailor has skills which develop in campaigns, the repair speed, either a review distance depends on skill of the sailor, or distance on which the sailor will hear the enemy. Sailors can perish and get wounds. For the best efficiency the player can place itself in the course of a campaign of sailors as it is necessary for it.

In start-up of torpedoes too there are features. Unlike Germans, Russians had no being directed torpedoes. All torpedoes shoot at the rate of the boat. It is complexity for the player. The stock of torpedoes is small, only two torpedoes. But by the boat there is a gun. Gun small, but capable to shoot the cargoship.

Conclusion.
Game difficult. By the boat a lot of things can be damaged, the boat is afraid almost of everything. Except damage of elements, the covering is damaged, compartments flood, the crew and many other things perishes. I wanted to make so that the player saw all dramatic character and complexity of service on the submarine of that period. But everything can be repaired, the main existence of live crew and time for repair.
The player is threatened already by T-1935 torpedo boats, with a gun both 110 mm and the deep bombs, ready to break off the boat, the minefields waiting the player at different depths. And it not the limit, fleet will surely replenish, and along with it the sky will break off a roar of motors of aircraft. Depth will be filled with enemy submarines (within reasonable).
