I've seen the H6Ks do some very strange things; flipping over rapidly just above the water, or disappearing before actually hitting the sea. In these cases there is no credit for destroying the plane. Definitely a glitch of some kind...

Ok thank you for that, that is exactly what happened to me also. I have a fresh install to 1.5 and just those mods, and must say that after shelving SH4 for a bit and coming back that these mods really flesh it out.

You guys hang around surfaced to duke it out with planes? That's what the 'C' key is for:

"CRASH DIVE - TAKE 'ER DOWN TO 300 FAST!"

Wow! Roger Dodger. I came SO CLOSE to choosing that name before I came up with Rockin Robbins. Tweedley-deet!

My last career I bet I ran into over 30 convoys 40 ships or more...just played long enough to know where to look. That's what's best about RSRD, the huge realistic convoys.

Yea, I see that myself. Didn't notice it much with TMO 1.7, but a lot with 1.8 beta. I thought i read somewhere RSRD works with 1.7. I didn't see any conflicts with anything 1.8 related, so not sure if I'm just paying attention since I run cams more patrols.

Would love to see all the added ships recently made added to RSRD. Really don't understand why some of them add and some don't. Take the new frieghter..It will show up in the game, but just ID's as Large Modern. So many new ships, hope you add some.

kinda torn on this mod.

i really dig the new objectives, orders, etc.

but i like convoy battles, which there seems to be a lack of. part of what attracts me to these games is the non linear gameplay.

but it seems here, i have to go grab some ww2 books to find out when and where to go if i want to see any real action other than a single ship here and there.

i know this mod is aimed to make it more realistic.. but did japan not have sizeable convoys moving about their occupied holdings?

ahh well.. i always preferred the atlantic war when it comes to subs.

Something for everybody, its historical in the quantity and nature of the convoys. Its as close as SH4 and time would allow to the reality of the PTO. Prior to bagging the mod, you can check out Silent Victory to get a sense of the tactics, strategies and an insight on where to find the Japanese Convoys.

Happy Hunting!

Default re

Do IJN AI controlled submarines show up in RSRD campaign ? Like they do in TMO.I know German U boats do, browsing campaign traffic layers in RSRD and can not locate a layer for IJN subs.Never had any messages about IJN subs, but noticed IJN AI subs are on the roster of ships.Hopefully will run into one sometime. They are fun to deal with in TMO.
