Glad to see you're still at it. Your modding skills just keep getting better and better! I'm still a big fan of your sound mods.

I know many people think that SH3 is dying but with work like this and other brilliant mods that have taken this game in new directions noone ever thought possible, I'd say the mod community has only explored about 50% of what could really be done.

Sure makes me want to try a few things.

Download a software called FRAPS.

It allows you to record both audio and video of whatever you have on your screen. Very easy to use. Once you finish recording, use windows movie maker to edit your video, cut the parts you want and compile it in WMA format, so you can transform a 1GB video size into a 70mb video size, with almost the same quality.

It's easier than it looks!

You non-modder guys around the forum think of us as genius or gods, but actually we are just normal dudes, that had the courage to go ahead and explore the files. I could teach you how some things are done, some things that you look and ask "how the hell did they do that?", and after hearing my explanation you would be more like "meh, that's it!?!?!"

I'm not modding cos I want to get reputation and get my name tattoed in the stars. I'm just modding cos I love it. I have compulsive tweaking disorder. I see a lot of stuff that should be done to fix the game, to make it better, and I see nobody doing it, nobody even mentioning it. Somebody has to do it, right? So why not me? Why waiting for others to make that mod you want so much, when you can do it yourself?

The core of happiness comes from new experiences, and learning new things is a form of having new experiences. It can make you very happy. Specially after hearing a lot of compliments after a hard work!

Well, it's been on my mind ever since I read Racerboy's post from back when about the extra dials and controls he found.

I'd love to figure out how to enable some of them, such as making it possible to have independent control of the port and starboard motors, for instance.

I'll probably do some tinkering after I get my new motherboard installed along with a fresh re-install of Windows and all my software. My file system is such a mess right now!

Wow!

THis mod has made me reinstall SH3

Here i was months back thinking thats it for me no more SH3.

Then i pop in here and see "Thomsens Water mod" .... Im reinstalling SH3!

Just one thing what do i need to run this: OLC GUI then this mod over it?. Do i need to install GWX2 as well?

First, install GWX 2.0.
Second, install GWX 2.1 update

You need GWX 2.1 for OLC's Ubermod, but you can choose to only use the OLC Environment ( OLCe ) part of his Ubermod.

Thomsen's Water 3.1 is an add-on mod for OLCe, so you will need at least that part of OLCU.

Ok fresh install of SH3/1.4b /Gwx 2.0/2.1 and OLCE2/Thomsen's 3.1. And last but not least SH3 Commander. Oh yes i read OLC readme to make sure i enable/disable the proper way. All ready to go, I think:hmm: I notice your mod is only approx 3mb in size is this correct or have i missed some download somewhere.
