H.O.R.s modeled?
Just curious. I've done alot of patrols in PA and I get engine damage of course. However, recently I took command of USS Jack and had much more trouble with the engines than usual, sometimes both engines out at the same time. I assume the name is just random, and I'm always in the same Gato boat, but it's a neat coincidence anyway.

The engine damage is entirely random and determined by the game. As far as I know, it is the same or all submarines...must be coincidence

Yeah, that's what I thought. Thanks.
Speaking of names.... sometimes I sink ships and in the summary it will show the name of the ship, for example I attacked a convoy and sank a cruiser, a carrier, two destroyers and a couple of frieghters, and in the summary I got the names Kiso for the cruiser, Soryu for the carrier, Akebono and Watabe I think for the DDs and the marus had names too. Other times I sink ships and in the summary it will just say generic merchant ship, etc. Are only some of the targets 'named' within the sim? Or how does that work?

I think we did put generic names for all ships, but EmeAzul came up with a patch that gave them all class names (Not individual ship names). Sorry...it's already a long time ago and my memory fails a bit :p
