@JapLance
On my machine your Southampton looks too brownish. My take is her colors should be more like gray, light blue, dark blue (navy). Southamptons (take HMS Sheffield for instance or HMS Manchester) were heavily used as escorts for capital ships. Now take your Southampton and counter impose her against QE. They will immediately loose their camo - brown rock on the blue and white backdrop of QE. Camo should hide, confuse, not expose.You know what I mean? I thinks this photo is more realistic in terms of color schema used for Town class light cruisers. This is HMS Belfast which is of the same parent Town class as Southampton. What do you think?

If you guys can wait about 3 hours I'll be posting the new camo for the TB 1935 as well as the reskin model of the British early war subs Clyde/Narwhal class.

It's also probably a good idea to take note of when these camo schemes were applied. We could probably have a single UDF but with models (and their applied camo schemes) that change throughout the war. That would really be cool.

Hmmm... we seem to have 'hijacked' the thread for repaints! Not that I'm complaining

BTW Bruno thanks for posting the UDFs for the Brit aircraft - I like the idea of using the Betty as a Welly and as soon as I'm done with your Mowe I'll see if I can get a few of those in the game.

Best wishes,
Mountbatten

I just used a profile I found somewhere in Google, but it didn't have a description of where and when it was used.

This is the image:

Gloworm I can't get momoshare to work, I get a download button, but as I click on it just takes me to the main page, with no download. Could you send them to me by mail?.

@Mountbatten
These are UDFs which I used when I had machine to run SH2/DC. Those Wellies would fly all the way to Willemshafen and harass my Lochs boat fleet. Actually it did happen. I read about it in Denitz book. On the other side of the story Wellies suffered badly from Luftwaffe. This is the Fleet Air Arm archive where you can find info on the planes used by the Fleet Arm. Wellies are there

BTW, I love your camos. I can hardly see your ships on the pictured provided by JapLance. They are blended with the colors of the sea (or is it my video card?) That's the whole idea of war paint - hide and confuse.

Very cool. One paint for HMS Southampton, another for HMS Sheffield or HMS Manchester and you can tell which ship is which just looking at their colors.

@JapLance
OK, I see. Perhaps I am biased. I just love the paint on HMS Belfast. With this kind of paint I understand how those ships like HMS Sheffield were used to escort capital ships. From distance camos of those ships would match up and you will get an effect of herd of zebras - you cannot distinguish individual animals. Hide or confuse. :hmm:

- Bruno
A long time ago we tried to realize a special mod to illustrate the game actions of the Italian assault team (Xa Mas).
Among the anticipated missions there was also the forcement of the harbor of Alessandria.
Unfortunately, problems risen in the use of the units employees (Maiali-Carriots) and the shortage of authors prepared to work in the project, has induced us to abdicate.
We will draw profit from your file of transformation of the Beaufigter in Blenheim. This aircraft is more proper for to represent the events of the first period of the conflict in the Mediterranean theatre.

- JapLance
The new QElizabeth is very beautiful ! We will use it to the place of the original one.

- Horsa
With your permission we will insert in the mod the destroyers that you have painted, that I have already unloaded from your site.

Thanks to everybody!

Default that would be nice!

Hi Willi,

As a matter of fact I've been working on missions based on Operation Source, the British X-Craft attack on the Tirpitz. My tests have heretofore been very very successful. I think it would be nice to play the sub commander initially from your home base to the jump off point then the mission ends and a new mission starts placing you in charge of the midget sub. I don't see why it can't be possible to do a human torpedo mission, though you perhaps could concoct either an escape attempt or have the next mission when Italy has surrendered and you are now fighting on the Allied side. Or perhaps you could steal a fast boat and try to escape to Axis territory like Bengazi...

Here's hoping!

Does anybody have Canarb's SLC stuff?. I sent him a PM two weeks ago asking for a few things that were once available in his old site, but seems like he is not around here anymore, I got no answer.

Do you mean a sub hunter like US PC or Soviet BO 122?

SLC means Siluri Lenta Corsa (slow-moving torpedo), the Italian Human Torpedo. Canarb had it done in his old site:

http://digilander.libero.it/canarb/g...wnload/slc.htm

but links are dead. Wondered if someone would have this and some other files from that site.
