It has been seen by many. You can not sink it. Even the Japanese have tried. It is not possible.

There are also about two pages or more of thread here at subsim with discussions about her. Sometimes she is so fast you can not get near her but if your course puts you close enough she will slow down. Then you can have a nice quite close encounter and see the people on board. Men, women all moving about the ship.

It has also bee seen on rare occasions around Johnston Island but 99% of the sightings are around the straights of Luzon.

I do not know how you take screen shots put I never use the ingame version. I always use PRINTSCREEN on the key board then paste that into my Editing software.

Funny enough Johnston is the only place I see her. Every time I refuel from there she's patrolling the Atoll

Default How many others have run into the Flying Dutchman ghost ship?

So last night, I was playing an early war US Sub in early 1942. I was cruising off the northern coast of Luzon when my sonarman reported a contact. I followed it and shortly I saw what looked like a downed airman in the distance trying to signal with emerald smoke. As I sped up and got close enough, there was a glowing 17th century 3 masted ship moving very fast. It even had a ghost crew. All were glowing. Has anyone else run into this awesome easter egg? I will try to post pics

it depends on which mod-set one is using.
some mod-sets don't have The Dutchman defined.

I saw that once and tried to sink her, no success. I forget where I was, but I did mention I saw that Easter egg on a thread once.

No one has seen it, because it doesn't really exist. There are a bunch of people making fake screenshots and claiming they've seen it, though.
