Think of all the cocaine you could successfully haul in that thing versus the submersible jalopies the current runners are using.

She's certainly motoring along - what sort of speeds are you getting?

Crusing speed is 4-6 knots. Max speed is 9 knots I think

The underwater speed will be max app. 7-8 knots.

Actually we do not have any sub right now that can dive. Freya has been decommissioned for a few months not. Kraka has a broken exhaust system, that can be repaired, but we will rather put our time into getting Nautilus ready to dive. Kraka will soon be decommissioned as well - it takes allot of time to have a sub operational!

nice video! I forget. What's the deepest the Kraka has actually dived? The kraka has just sailed in the harbor? What's the longest "patrol" time?

Fantastic, I can't believe how cheap (not incl. labor) it was to build at this point. What's the battery life underwater at best speed for range? What is the optimal underwater cruise speed estimated at?

I think the deepest Kraka has gone is 20-25 meters.
She has acutlly sailed quite some distance in Danish standards, so she IS oceangoing - its just not that pleasent.

If we dive at snorkel depth we can sail 8-9 knots for as long as there is fuel.
If we use the electric motor we can sail for 1 hr at full speed or 5 hrs at optimal speed.
We dont know for sure yet, what those speed are because we have not used the electric engine yet.
