[REQ] Mediterrean theatre ?

I know few of us here will be interested in it, but still my curiosity rises to question... Except it's the only theatre still missing you can't say it wasn't important

From the readme in OM v500

Quote:
Operation Monsun
“Mare Nostrum”
Version 500

“Operation Monsun” (OM) version 500 “Mare Nostrum” covers the operations of Uboats under the control of the 23rd/29th Flotillas in the Mediterranean during the period of September 1941 to September 1944. You will see all the major British re-supply missions that were executed after Sept 41 (i.e. Operation SUBSTANCE, MINCEMEAT, HALBERD, HARPOON, VIGOROUS, PEDESTAL, STONEAGE, PORTCULLIS and QUADRANGLE) along with the various aircraft supply convoys, and the allied invasions of Africa, Italy and Southern France. OM v500 includes all older versions on OM (Action in the North Atlantic, BdU’s coastal submarine operations, Operation Paukenschlag and Operation Monsun).

You find this in the current version of OMv700

Sweet!
I'm in the middle of an OM campaign and now I know which flotillas to transfer to for some Med action!

IMO, it is the most interesting theater. It is packed with action over relatively short distances. There was fighting not only between Italians and Germans on one side and Allies on another but also between French and British.

Yes, it is French bomber MB-200. They attacked the British fleet during the conflict in Lebanon. The bombers are not in the OM campaign yet.

The proper way of making playable Italian sub would reguire a modelling of the appropriate interior and the language pack. That is quite a bit of work. Hopefully, some day that is available.
