Default Late war snorkel sensors

I think I know the answer to this, but wanted to be sure :-)

When it comes to installing the RWR-equipped schnorkel, the in-game menu states that "the sensor is automatically fitted to the U-boat, once the optional "Late War Snorkel Sensors" mod is enabled via JSGME while in base."

Given that I leave the mod in question permanently enabled as a matter of course, am I right in thinking that, when I start a new career, GWX will install said upgrade without any further action being required on my part?

Doing that will screw up any early equipment.
Kind of the MAIN reason it's called 'Late War'.

Huh. I've had the mod enabled pretty much always, and my standard RWRs seem to be working just fine (currently in Feb 1943). I just assumed it took effect at the appropriate point time, ie late 1944, and was essentially a non-factor prior to that...
