Found another webpage covering the last days of Gryf:

Notable information:

- On 1st september Gryf carried 290 mines: half of her maximum capacity;
- The two German destroyers which attacked Gryf an Wicher while moored at Hel port, were commanded by the Rear Admiaral Günther Lütjens in person;
- The attack started at 7:00 AM;
- The same day, the first and the second air raids were by Ju 97B Stukas (first attack at 09:00 AM);
- The third and fourth raids were by He 59 seaplanes (we don't have them in game ), and they startet respectively at 16:00 and 17:25.

Default CTD in first mission

Hi,

Finally decided to give SH5 another try after quite some time. I added a few mods, but my game crashed every time during my first mission.
See my list of mods:


Could someone help figuring out what is going wrong?
Even if I only use NewUIs_TDC_7_3_0 and OHII_Full it crashed every time.

I can't seem to find SteelViking's Interior Mod V1.2.2 Patch.

Also I downloaded IRAI_0_0_39_ByTheDarkWraith_patch1, but when I unpack it, it's calles IRAI_0_0_39_ByTheDarkWraith, so it overwrites the original. Do I have to rename it to IRAI_0_0_39_ByTheDarkWraith_patch1?

Yes, rename. Install above the main mod. Because the content within "data" is different than the main mod. look inside.

Hi Gillian

Can you go here :-C:\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5\data\Applications
and run the apps "SH5 Validator" + "JSGME mod validator"

Copy and paste the reports here (wrapped in # (code) tags)

What are you exactly doing when game crashes?
During what mission this happens?

I don't recommend installing new mods as Macardigan suggested, before current issue will be solved..


@ Macardigan

IRAI_0_0_39_Inertia_Damage should be installed together with TDW Ship Inertia only..
Many people have had CTDs using TDW Ship Inertia on new campaign start..
The same with AI_sub_crew_1_0_2_TheDarkWraith.
OHIIv2.2 not released yet..

NewUIs_TDC_7_3_0 and OHII_Full together seem to work now with no other mods installed.

I guess now I will have to test which mod makes my game crash.

And I have to learn how to aim torpedo's again, all my torpedo's miss at the moment

excuse me but Inertia_damage not depend of ship inertia 1_1_0.

OHII v2.2(beta) only changes <---works. I know it's not full. Not in the main thread of the mod OHII.


In all cases ship_inertia cuts the sound of ships by the hydrophone. Exceptionally cause CTD's because this mod lower value "eng_power" within the .sim files.
This causes the vessel engine braking force does not have an impact instantaneously after torpedo, making actual speed reduction upon impact. This is not a source of conflict with another mod installed.

And here it is to help Gillian, not to see who of the two is right.

This mod (IRAI_0_0_39_Inertia_Damage) was made only for using with TDW Ship Inertia..
