I'm afraid somebody got there long before you, Markus... aren't you describing the game of "Battleships" (only with subs)?

Yes it is battleship but only with one sub(two square)

A kind of correspondence chess- but here a subsim member post a salvo(two shot) for example C4, D4 and the sub owner or the judge give him or her an answer if it's a hit or miss.

In the game battleship the two player sits face to face with a barrier between them and they have more ships than just one sub(of course you know this)

It was nothing but an idea or an alternative to this correspondence chess.

(My grid has letters A-J descending vertically; numbers 1-10 of course go left to right. I'll PM you my sub's grid reference if you decide to start the game)

Okay, Week 2 begins at midnight GMT+1 on Sunday night. Posts won't be as many or as frequent as in Week 1 (although that wasn't a complete week) because things got a bit overexcited last time.

BUT.... don't get complacent, for I will offer some multiple-whacks (maybe as many as three in quick succession) just to spice things up a little, so there's the potential of a large points haul if you're alert and scoop a hat-trick.

There are two guys to beat: Rhodes, of course, and HW3, but you two need to be on your toes and keep your aggregate score up if you're to stop Fubar or Catfish from sneaking up on you.

See you on Sunday
