I see a bit of metal in TarJak's photo that makes me think that it is not a Nash Metropolitan. Also TarJak's photo has a sloping curve the Nash has no slope to it. Don't be so sure until the OP confirms that an answer is correct. Also Nash has a space between the chrome and the headlight TarJak's photo has no gap.
Is it an early Ford Ranchro? Could be along the door where the chrome strip is thinner on some versions. Something tells me that it is not a Nash. |

Not a Nash or a Ford. Start looking across the pond. Right era though.

Stop worrying about the colour. They were manufactured in lots of colours. A Teal it is not.
I think you may have crossed the wrong pond as well. Last edited by TarJak; 08-06-14 at 01:45 AM. |

I'll help a little more and tell you the brand name comes from somewhere other than the place of assembly and these are very rare due to the very small production run.

Not a Morgan. The chassis is from the same company and country where the brand originated but it was assembled in a different continent.

Nope but the original brand company and the chassis is from the same country as Opel.

OK that makes it a German brand and German chassis that is assembled somewhere other than Europe. If it has a chassis that makes it earlier than the 1960's in general unless you consider unibody construction the chassis.
I'm stumped for now. Oh yeah and across the pond would suggest the Americas as the assembly place. Volkswagon I doubt as the VW's for the US were made in Wolfsburg until 1965 when another factory opened to take that load and the VW is a unibody construct. The two tone paint screams 1950's to me so what are the choices. Opel, VW, Audi, BMW and Mercedes are all I can think of. Daimler DS420? Can't be that because I would consider this car upscale to an Austin Healey. Stumped again.
