I got some problems with marking a target... The direction of a target is simpel.. but the DEMON tool i do not understand... How the hell do i know the turn per knots?? I dont get this...

For identifieng a target i use, radar and sonar... Are there tutorials? Or does someone can help me here?

The first question is what station are you trying to mark the contact in? You can look in the USNI reference for you tpk on each identifying ship. DEMON is a matter of process of elimination. If you know the contact is a surface contact, just look for those. Utilize your filter in sonar to help in that and pay attention to your briefing as it will provide clues for what you are looking for. Lastly...don't ever use radar in a sub as this will give your position away.

Go to Sub Guru's Download Section and get the various help documents like Bluebook, Landlubbers guide, TimmyGoo's manual, etc. I thought that SC had a tutorial section. If I'm wrong on that one...download this as it's the classic 688(i) game training missions.

I think it's the in-game reference guide that comes up as an option when you hit ESC. You look in the guide for a particular kind of ship and it will tell you what its Turns-per-knot rate is. To get an idea of what ship you're looking at, the way it works (I think - rememebr, I'm just a newbie) go into the narrowband display and run the cursor over one of the contact spikes and you'll get a sonar signature in the middle display. You then are supposed to compare that against known signatures at the bottom-most display. The problem is that there's only VERY basic tutorial for this (and only for the Seawolf), using a simple surface civilian ship. I usually have to run that mission every time I run the game - I really should get around to ingread that manual. I typically then fire-up the "Braveheart" mission where I'm driving an Akula hunting for an SSBN around the British Isles. It's not an easy mission, but I work around the whole range thing using "snapshot" for all my weapons. 4 ASM's at Ark Royale (which is apparently unsinkable, but not uin-cripple-able) and a spread of anti-sub torps slightly south of the RN carrier, where the SSBN invariably hides.
