No worries mate.

Send Neal a PM and he will hook you up. He's our GWX pimp.

Thanks for the support.

Edit - If you are not sorted by the time I get home, I'll PM the link.

Thanks, will do.

You're welcome to the support. Thank you for the enjoyment. Without it I'd have to talk to my wife!

Default Would Love To Pay For A Cd!!!!

I am out here working on a very thin phone line which takes over 3/4 of an hour to download the 1.4 patch to SH3.

My hard drive went "wheels up" this summer so the "HARD CD" in my stash of other games would be nice.

No trouble in paying for your trouble and cost, plus a donation to this bunch who did it!!!

SNAKE1937 PS: SNAKE was my call sign & 1937 the year of my birth

Let's see if we can get any offers from someone in your country, if not I'll gladly send you a copy. No need for reimbursement if I send it to you.

Maybe, it would be an idea for you to start a 'GWX 2.0 Burn & Share' thread. You might get more replies that way.

Regarding the "Enhanced damage Effects"
In artillery training mision when I shoot at a ship there are huge explosions from just 2-3 shells and the game freezes shortly and I am forced to end the game.
Is this normal?
After I removed the mod the game works, but now there are very few fireworks. In my first patrol I sank a large thanker, but when the torpedo hit there was only a small fire and some smoke, no explosion. The same thing with other ships.

My Pc:
Amd64 3800+ single core
2gb ddr 400
Ati X1900gt
Win xp sp2
Resolution fix for 1280/1024

Million thanks for your wonderful mod

Default I don't wanna sound stupid, but

I have just downloaded the 7 bin files and exe file for GWX 2.0

I have 2 questions:

Create a fresh/brand new installation of GWX patched to version 1.4b

I assume it is meant to create a new install of Silent Hunter III.

Users can verify GWX 2.0 file integrity with the following MD5 hash if they so choose:

I wish to verify the integrity of my downloaded files, but I don't know how to do it; like what is MD5 hash and how do I get them?

Hi RobJ250,

I thought you didn't love us anymore!

To answer your questions:

1) MD5 hash is basically an ID code that allows you to verify the integrity of a file.

2) For detailed instructions on where to find a free MD5 checker tool and how to perform the MD5 verification... just click on "GWX Home Page" beneath my signature and go to the FAQ page... Its all there mate.

Cheers and happy hunting!

Hello. Just one question:
Type VIIC/41 boat was not properly implemented in previous versions of SH3 and GWX. Did you fix this in GWX 2.0 ?

You need to be more detailed mate. What exactly do you mean?

I understand there was no difference between VIIC and VIIC/41 in SH3. But if I'm not mistaken, the VIIC/41 should be able to dive deeper (and perhaps some other minor differences). Are these problems fixed, i.e. is there now some difference between those two boats?

Default Install problems

I seem to have problems. I done a complete new install of Silent Hunter III and upgraded to 1.04. I changed SH3 Commander 2.7 with the file I was supposed to use (It was just a copy and paste). However I got errors when I installed GWX 2.0

Here are the errors:

DEBUG: Test 1 PASSED
DEBUG: Test 2 PASSED Version is 1.4.0.1
DEBUG: Test 3 PASSED
DEBUG: Test 4 FAILED Size is 7974981
DEBUG: Test 5 FAILED Size is 70200
DEBUG: Test 6 Seems to have PASSED IF Size is not Zero - Size is 1134792
At least one of the tests failed

What happened?

EDIT: Disregard. I started over and there were no problems. Great.

Rob

Okay, now I know how to answer your question.

In GWX 2.0 we implemented an included optional mod that changes the appearance of the player U-boat to be that of a Type VIIC/41. Just double-click the JSGME icon that GWX 2.0 installs on your desktop to view and enable the Type VIIC/41 player U-boat 3D model.

To get the deeper-diving physics changes you will need to use the SH3 commander utility and read the directions associated with that application. Without using SH3 Commander, the optional VIIC/41 3D model in GWX 2.0 will perform exactly as a standard Type VIIC.

So yes, assuming that you use the SH3 Commander application, you can have your cake and eat it too.

You can find and DL the SH3 Commander program here: http://www.users.on.net/~jscones/software/products.html
