Yeah, and iirc you get some kind of "not for distribution" message when you run files, or shut down. So you'd know if you had it.

BTW, the "6/7/8" refers to three separate strains of the virus (there's about 10, or was back in the mid-'90s), another indication that Avast! is just having a guess (although *all* warnings should always be investigated before dismissing).

Thanks mate, if your still there can you (or anyone) answer a couple of questions for me regarding GWX 1.3 and SH3commander 2.7?

1)
Download
http://www.users.on.net/~jscones/GWX/GWX102+Cfg4SH3Cmdr.zip and extract the
contents into your SH3 Commander\Cfg folder. Refer to the readme.txt in the zip file for more

detailed information.

This link isnt working and I assume these files are important to follow the advice of the 1.3 manual to use the latest SH3 commander.

2)The manual also advisers to
Do not
use the “Combined Ship Pack” add-on

However the next section instructs you on how to install the
GWX Skin Pack into SH3 commander.
Are these the same thing?
Any enlightenment would be appreciated.

Easy one first, use the GWX Skin Pack (164mb) and extract the contents into the date folder inside SH3Cmdr's program folder. They are not the same thing, the SH3Commander Skin Pack was originally designed with SH3 1.4b in mind whereas the GWX Skin Pack is vastly improved and is actually (when used with Commander) date based. This means you will get historically accurate skins for all vessels on the correct date/year. GWX Skins can be found on the first page of this thread.

Next, to use SH3Cmdr correctly with GWX 1.03 you need the 1.02+ cfg files, you can find them here - http://www.megaupload.com/?d=LHFF2G41 Extract the archive and copy the contents into the cfg folder inside SH3Cmdr's program folder.

Not sure where to find torrent Morell. I d/l everything from jimbuna's given link under his name. Takes a while but some seem faster than others.

Moment Please: The optional 16/km visible radius mod that comes with GWX 1.03. Is this a realism mod, could the watch see 16/km with binocs or is this just a help. Been scanning the forums for ages for an answer to this q but cant find one.

Default Hunting in Scapa Flow

As I mentioned last week, ive downloaded the GWX mod and have to say its fantastic.

My question is - I go into the mission editor and open up the campaign file. It shows quite clearly that the HMS Royal Oak and the HMS Hood and i think the Repulse are anchored in Scapa Flow around late september and all through october & november.

So in my campaing game I get into Gunther Prien mode and get into Scapa via the same eastern route. but when I try to find these big battle-wagons they are not there. There are just destroyers etc...

So does GWX have a different campaign map that i may not have looked at (with all ship locals/movements etc...) ???

Or would these ships have moved and/or is there a setting that maybe gives them only a % of being at any one place at a given time???

I know it was kind of cheating, but to then get into Scapa flow and realise I have no decent targets to hit in October 1939......its was extremely annoying...

Any one who could help or shed some light it would be much appreciated.

:-D good hunting to all.

Yes twas cheating
:rotfl:
Anywho
If you right click on Hood in the mission ed it will show the dates it arrives and departs
The Hood is always on the move and is in and out of Scapa on a regular basis
