Question Re. SSN 688 model
Hey guys, I am looking at my beautiful boat, the USS Olympia and I was wondering about two little details on her model. What are the coppery shiny surfaces on her back? Are they windows of some kind?

Yes, those windows are outside the pressure hull, though. The "ones on American subs" that we're talking about wouldn't be.

Yeah, I don't think they're windows too. What's strange is that I couldn't find any RL pictures of those things (at least not on 688 class)
