Amanda Staveley is a lot easier on the eye than that Ashley chap, what chance is there of a return of Rafa Benitez?, and more importantly have you bought an Arabic phrase book?, and even more important than that is, has Mohammed bin Salman bought a geordie phrase book.

One final word, tell bin Salman to buy some winter woollies.

I'm not all that keen on either Staveley or bin Salman tbh but anyone has to be better than Ashley.

Mind you, I'll only believe in a takeover after it has been signed, sealed and delivered.

Salman and Staveley are in it for the money, once their feet are under the table they'll start demanding success now and not later, I think Staveley is a wolf in sheeps clothing and I can tell you this, if there's any dissent or failure from players and non playing staff they'll be got rid of pretty damn quick.

Newcastle might be better off sticking with Ashley you know, better the devil you know and all that, Salman and Staveley are an unknown quantity at the moment but they might just be the kick up the backside that Newcastle need, whatever happens its going to be interesting times ahead me thinks.

You may well be right but right now I think the majority of the support are prepared to take that risk because the club is going backwards under Ashleys tenure.

Quote:
Former Tottenham and England striker Jimmy Greaves has been released from hospital after being treated for an unspecified illness.

The World Cup winner, 80, was admitted to hospital on 7 April.

Tottenham said their record goalscorer, who had a severe stroke in 2015, had "not tested positive for Covid-19 nor suffered another stroke".

A statement on Greaves' official Facebook page said he was "back at home recuperating with his wife Irene".

It added: "He has been very ill and we are hoping he will be fine going forward."

Piracy problems at Newcastle.

https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/footb...keover-unrest/

Yet more bloody nonsense coming from the cartel at the top of the game who are only concerned about competition and what it'll do to their finances, this piracy bollocks is just another excuse for them to hide behind, Arabsat, which allegedly hosts the pirate material is owned by numerous countries including the UAE and not just Saudi Arabia.
These football clubs should not be allowed to comment on or influence the ownership of a rival club, but they do and they've been very successful at it so far, they'll stretch this out for as long as they can me thinks, more innuendo's and snide remarks in the corridors of power will come from them I'm sure.

TOON thrashed Shef U 3-0 and I must say I was pleasantly surprised at the scoreline.

No luck in Wales though grain of that was involved as Fulham lost too. Next one is against them. A very importantant "6 pointer"....

What I dechipered from radio live commenting was pretty much same as before this virus crap. Leeds creates chances but doesn't score. Paddy Bamford was the main scape goat; again

Newcastle seems to be on the safe side now...

Yeah, one more win and they will surely be safe. I just hope the buyers will go ahead with the purchase when Premiership survival is a certainty.
