I revived this thread rather than start a new one, because I have a question:

Why are my wooden lifeboats underwater? This didn't used to happen.

From the OP:

It includes wooden lifeboats as well as the existing rafts,

Well, yes, I read that, but I assumed that thus installing over the top of the old mod was ok As in -- everything new and shiny would be updated, and anything old would still work...

Same question here: Can I install it just over the old lifeboat and debris mod or do have to uninstall the old mod first?

I haven't tried this yet but this mod retains the rafts you see in the lifeboats and debris mod... Also, "iambecomelife" did not say this is an add-on for the "Lifeboats and debris" mod. The conclusions are yours.

Hi,

the original lifeboat mod v4 includes entries in the ships' .val files for the lifeboats. The present mod does not contain any .val files

It would be great if someone could clarify whether the present mod is a stand-alone mod or can (or should) be used in combination with the old mod

Cheers, LGN1

I appear to have missed this when it first came out, thanks for the mod iambecomelife . Was it ever established whether this was a standalone mod or addition to the other lifeboat mod? From iambecomelife first post I assume it is standalone and will try it that way for now.

The original mod for SH3 was done by Rubini, with animations by Privateer. This version has the wooden lifeboats but not the animations.

That should read:
" with animations by Thunder and Privateer."
I didn't do it alone.

Sorry, I didn't mean to leave anybody out. I didn't know (or didn't remember).

On the other hand, I don't want to see you talking about lifeboats until your fully-animated boats and rafts with rowers mod is in my sweaty little hands!

Didn't remember is my bet.
At your advanced age it's to be expected.

I was just telling Thunder I may get around to finishing them soon.
The guys jumping out of damaged Aircraft is slowing me down a tad,
and I've not finished the night time effects.

(You didn't say anything about Typeing!)
