Thanks. Actually the magazines i was talking about was only one, "Submarines since 1919, Purnells history of the world wars special." "64 pages packed with colour."! I should scan in some pages an stick them up somewhere, some interesting stuff in there besides the pictures. There is a good section on mini-subs, might be an idea for a mini-mod or some single missions...

The first time I was able to tour a B-17, I was amazed at how small that sucker was.

I am sure that the 1/4" plywood armour sides gave the crew that nice warm protected feeling.

How men could go up in those machines and fight? I honour their courage and dedication to duty

Since I originally posted the story with my broken elbow in this thread, thought I might as well drop an update here - as of today, I can finally reach my left shoulder with my left hand again, which was pretty much the last checkpoint I set for myself. So I'm almost over the hill with my recovery!

...on the other hand, the amount of work I fell behind on, not the least some articles I promised to write and translate (one of them for Subsim), and my own Masters thesis, have me pretty well horrified, now that I can and must finally work on them

Joined the WPL way back just after the release of Destroyer Command and SHII. Friday nights and Saturdays were dedicated to on line gaming at WPL chat room. We even had BIG BASHES were there were over 20 SHII and DC players. Those were serious multiplayer weekends.

Posts held at WPL XO EGL CDO EGL and after my triple by pass surgery 3 months ago I decided to back away and devote more time in spoiling my grand daughter.
