Can't edit the cfg for snorkel in OM
Help! For some reason, I can not edit the command cfg file in OM to be able to use the snorkel. Every time I edit the file, the file will not save! Help! I love this mod! But I need the snorkel! Thanks!

What sort of error do you get when you try to save?
Are you running Vista and do you have SH4 installed in Program Files? |

Your problem is "vista" will not allow "hand changes" to files that are in the "Program Files" directory.
You need to read these two threads http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...35&postcount=1 and http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...06&postcount=1 |

Thank you. I installed in the programs folder and have not had a hitch until trying to change the cfg. file. I guess I will have to reinstall one day.

eureka! That worked in editing the file, but the snorkel still will not toggle! I edited it to look just like it is supposed to but no cigar! Thanks!

Toggling Snorkel
It may be the commands.cfg file found in Hard Drive root (perhaps C\Wolves of the Pacific\Data\Cfg folder.
If the toggle snorkel data is in the correct syntax like all other lines than the possible solution is below. Look for a similar line of: [Commands] CommandsNb=600 MaxKeyCommandsNb=350; Keys number shoud be smaller than this value (in order to accelerate the loading) I do not know what the original # is anymore for MaxKeyCommandsNb=350. I think it started out as 190. I added so many commands and voice commands since the game began. 350 did the trick for me. |
