Default Looking for U-Boat Type IXB blueprints/plans/schematics/layouts

I'm currently working on attempting to create a 9B for SH5. I have the ability to obtain meshes from SH3 to use them as replacement, but I'm not particularly happy with the meshes: resolution, quality, detail.

So, while I cannot import the meshes into the GR2 (well, I can, but I cannot change textures atm as per problems that I have reported in TDW's GR2 Viewer/Editor thread), I would like to have a project of creating 3d model of a IXB boat from scratch.

Unfortunately, it is extremely hard to find good blueprints/plans for the IXb boat. I have been able to locate some nice side and top views, but not that many of the front/back views - and I need them desperately in order to make the model properly.

I would appreciate any help!!!

Thank you all in advance!

Max

yep. This one is the closest I could find to a good one.
I also have some very very nice top view from uboatarchives website.

But I do need more detailed front/back views.

Found even the ones from a guy posing some pics on ubi forums a while back. But most of the schematics are side and top views.

I just took seven high-quality scans from Eberhard Rössler's excellent The U-boat: The Evolution and Technical History of German Submarines. Unfortunately and though the book is packed with diagrams and schematics, there doesn't seem to be a single IXB blueprint in the whole thing.

I have images of IXA and IXD frame lines; detailed deck plans, inboard profile, and sections for the IXD1, IXD2, and IXD1 transport conversion; and a IXC end view that also shows the schnorkel arrangement. There is one more, very large diagram for IXD2 deck plans and inboard profile that I have not yet scanned because it's too big for my scanner. I could scan it at my university's library if you want it.

Would these be useful to you? If so, I can send them your way. I also seem to remember seeing large foldout U-boat blueprints in the university library while doing other U-boat research. I could check to see if there is a IXB there if you want.

quality is good. The layers of IX might just perfectly work for the front/back view! Thank you greatly!

Unfortunately, I was not able to locate any IXB schematics at the library today. Also, the library scanners are still not large enough to accommodate the size of the Type IXD1 plan I'm trying to scan. Would it be okay to scan it in two parts? I will try to position it precisely enough to prevent overlap or warping of the image.
