Default Gyro angle not working right

I'm not sure if my gyro angle is working or not. I have GWX3.0 patched. The problem is I'm trying to do manual TDC and I get all the proper info and put it into manually. I also send everything to my weapons officer except for the speed. The speed test they have doesn't seem to work either. The weapons officer keeps telling me the ship's speed is 0knots or 1 knot. So I do my own speed test and put it in. The gyro angle doesn't update as I move my scope? Any suggestions? Could it be because he isn't getting the speed calculation. I do put it in on the dials.

Salute, Jason !!

Try this and see if it works:

Plot the target so as to work out his course and speed.

Position your boat as to get ahead of the targets track so you can shoot as close to 90 degrees AOB as possible.

Train your scope to 0 degrees (if firing forward tubes). MANUALLY input into TDC the target speed and the AOB that it will be when the torps impact

Throw the TDC switch which will input the data to the torpedoes.

Look at the gyro angle and turn the scope so that the angle is 0

When the target passes the crosshairs LOS !!!

What can goof you up is if you have to input a "snap shot" in a hurry and forget to throw the switch to input the data to the torps. Then who knows where they go !!

Do you switch back to "Auto Entry” after manually entering speed, distance, AoB etc...

If you do so, the bearing automatically updates from the periscope or uzo, which should also update gyro angle
