Wreck of French SSK La Minerve found more than 50 years after its disappearance
The French diesel-electric submarine La Minerve disappeared on January, 27th, 1968, with its 52 men crew, after leaving Toulon, and the search ended up in failure at the time due to insufficient technological capabilities. For decades, the families of the crew pushed for the search to continue, and a few months ago, in February 2019, these were started again with much more modern equipment. We learned today that the submarine was finally found. It is broken in three pieces and lies at 2,350 metres below the surface.
https://twitter.com/i/web/status/1153217210036490240 May the crew and their family find peace. And may all those who disappeared be found. Last edited by Rufus Shinra; 07-22-19 at 04:46 AM. |
